About the conference
The Channel Islands Funds Forum is the largest annual funds event in Guernsey and Jersey – and this year it will be bigger than ever.
Building on the success of 2016’s conference, we have expanded this year’s event so that delegates will be able to attend:
• A pre-event seminar presented by Preqin
• The main conference sessions
• Post-event networking drinks
As always, the event will bring together leading funds practitioners from both islands and beyond, to hear expert opinion on the funds industry both locally and globally.
The event is organised by BL Events in partnership with PwC. It is sponsored by Appleby, JTC Fund Services and Optimus Group, and supported by Altair, Puritas and Rossborough Professional Risks.
Delegates can also choose to attend the Preqin seminar on its own, should they not be able to attend the main conference.

Preqin Pre-Event Seminar
09:30-10:30 – JERSEY AND GUERNSEY BY THE NUMBERS
We are delighted to host this pre-event seminar in association with Preqin, the alternative assets industry’s leading source of data and intelligence.
Using their own data, which encompasses over 25,000 alternative asset managers and institutional investors, Preqin will look at the big picture in the alternative assets industry today, and examine the whats and whys that are driving innovation and change in 2017. How has the alternative assets industry grown and evolved since the financial crisis? Which products are getting the attention of institutional investors in 2017 and where is that money going to? How are fund managers and investors positioning themselves for the, as yet unclear, impacts of Brexit? Where do the Channel Islands sit in the alternative assets landscape and how have they fared as the alternative asset sector has grown? Preqin’s presentation will cover the entire alternative asset universe encompassing both closed- and open-ended funds.
Speakers:
• AMY BENSTED, Head of Hedge Funds, Preqin
• TOM CARR, Head of Real Assets Products, Preqin
Registration and refreshments for this seminar will start at 9am.
Anyone booking a delegate place for the main conference will be able to attend this seminar.
Places can also be booked separately at a cost of £40 per delegate.
